Information Communication Technology

Information Communication Technology has become an integral part of our every day lives.

At King's we recognise the importance of developing skills involved when using computers and strive towards giving the children knowledge, experience and confidence to use up-to-date technology across the curriculum.  Children from Years 3 to 8 are all allocated I.C.T lessons and will cover a range of skills from touch typing to recognising computer components and will use software ranging from simple word processing to more complex control packages. Each child is provided safe and secure Internet access and e-mail accounts.

I.C.T is implemented across the whole curriculum; to meet the demands by other subjects the school provides pupils access to two designated computer suites, two mobile laptops labs, used in Science and Maths, as well as a further 24 laptops in our new library, giving the school almost 300 workstations in total.  Every classroom has an Interactive SMART Board giving a whole new dimension to lessons.
