year 7 visit to Kentwell

Year 7 visited Kentwell Hall, Suffolk, where the full Tudor recreation is taking place.  The weather was perfect.

Activities that could be witnessed included Archery, the travelling players, the Smithy. Weaving and dyeing, Preparing medicines, Alchemy, Cooking in the kitchen and Music.  The choristers prepared a song for the gentry adn one group saw the meal being prepared.

The year was 1588 and there was much talk of the imminent Spanish invasion attempt.
