Cambridge Railway Station 1816 A meeting for any parents who can make it will also be held on Thursday June 9th, 2011 in the Assembly Hall from 1630-1700 (immediately following the Sports Day). Pocket Money All the transport, admissions etc. are included, but the children will need some pocket money. We recommend £20. Books, Stationery and Games Students should provide their own pencils, biros and/or pen. A scrap book or similar, clipboard and paper should be brought. Games will be welcome for use in spare time and each child should have a reading book with him/her. Luggage Labels Please ensure that luggage is labelled and that all clothes and personal possessions are marked. It is inadvisable to bring any expensive items that would have to be left in the rooms during the day trips. There is a 10 minute walk to the hotel; please ensure that luggage cases are light or have wheels. Clothes 'Smart casual' For example : 2 pairs of trousers, 3 shirts, underwear and socks (lots!). Waterproof, strong and comfortable walking shoes (school shoes are suitable and so are trainers), indoor shoes/sandals, night wear. Soap, shampoo, toothbrush and paste, elastoplasts. Please provide a packed lunch for the outward journey One or two additional points : Mme Grimal and Mr. Brown are in charge of pocket money. Please give it to either of them on the morning of departure in a re-sealable envelope. Mrs Etheridge, is in charge of first aid. Please give any medication - including travel sickness tablets - to her, clearly labelled. Each student is encouraged to keep a logbook as a record of the holiday. They may choose between keeping a 'best' version as they go along, or writing rough notes with a view to completing their project in the rest of the Summer Holidays (the latter may be preferable, as there will not be much spare time for log work). There will be at least one prize, and entries for a prize should be submitted by the end of the first week of the autumn term 2011.. Mobile telephones should NOT be brought.
